One more step down the slippery slope.

Yep, the provincial capital of The People's Republic of California - San Francisco - is finding yet another way to spit in the eye of US law and squander the resources of its citizens. Really, they are squandering all of our resources.

The Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to issue municipal identification cards to city residents - regardless of whether they are in the country legally...

Why aren't the supervisors being rounded up and thrown in jail for Aiding and Abetting criminals? The term, "illegal alien" should be a dead give-away. They're here illegally. The supes are knowingly assisting them.

Consider a bank robber. If you knew someone had just robbed a bank, and you provided them aid and comfort to evade arrest, you'd go to jail. Why isn't this happening, en masse, to the government officials in SF?

Supervisor Tom Ammiano, who authored the ID card legislation, said the program is a smart public safety measure because it would make residents living on the social margins of San Francisco more likely to seek the help of police and could give them more access to banking services.

"People are afraid to report crimes," Ammiano said, referring to illegal immigrants who avoid local law enforcement authorities over fear of being arrested or deported by federal immigration officials.

No, you socialist piece of shit, a "smart public safety measure" would be to have them deported. In that way, the law would be followed, the illegal aliens would not have to worry about being the victims of crimes, and WE wouldn't have to worry about being a victim of THEIR crime.

And the law doesn't just apply to city services. They are forcing their socialist policies on private business.

The legislation would require companies holding city contracts to accept the municipal card as a legitimate form of identification...

Amazingly, one supervisor actually voted against the measure. Good luck at the next election, fella.

Supervisor Sean Elsbernd voted against the measure, saying his opposition was primarily financial because the city doesn't know how much implementing the program will cost. "Next year's budget is not going to be pretty," Elsbernd said. "With all the services included, this could shortchange our budget discussion."

The San Francisco County Clerk has estimated the cost of the program could range between $1.07 million and $2.86 million in the first three years, much of that for staff to process the cards.

Upwards of $3 million for administration! It is going to cost shit-load more than this when all of the "free" services are included. When are people in that shit-hole going to stand up and say, "ENOUGH!"?

Oh wait, they are. With their feet.

The population of 25 to 34 year olds in the city dropped by 28.26 percent from 2000 to 2006, from 180,418 to 129,430, according to the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey. San Francisco County's population of 25 to 29 year olds dropped by 43.5 percent from 2000 to 2006, and its population of 30 to 34 year olds dropped by 12.8 percent during that period, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Amazingly, SF actually saw a slight increase in their overall population from 2004-2006. What I find interesting is the age groups listed above is the group of people that are just getting started making and building their careers. Making more money, and seeing a huge chunk coming out of their pay checks. Movin' on out!

Things couldn't have looked better three years ago for Milton and Patricia Harper of Lake City, who giddily accepted the keys to a small castle, plus enough money to pay taxes on it for 25 years.

Now, the Clayton County house that "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" built is a two-story, turreted example of how things can go wrong. It's in foreclosure.

The Harpers used the house at 5489 Ahyoka Drive as collateral for a $450,000 loan, Clayton County mortgage records show. Records at the law firm handling foreclosures for the lender, JPMorgan Chase Bank, say it is in foreclosure. The four-bedroom house with decorative rock walls and a three-car garage is scheduled for auction on the Clayton County Courthouse steps Aug. 5.

They were given something for free - a home. The company that built the home raised a $250,000 fund for them to take care of their home maintenance for the next 25 years, and to provide scholarships for their 3 kids. They were set for life!

And they've pissed it all away. They took the money to start a construction business. They wanted something for nothing. And now they're homeless because of their greed.

On the radio this morning, they were talking about how we always assume that people that are poor are somehow noble beings that are penniless because they have given their lives to a greater good.

Perhaps a few. But I'm guessing most folks without two nickels to rub together are a lot more like these folks. I have found it usually to be a lack of taking advantage of our nation's free education system, a history that usually involves drugs or alcohol, or the perpetuation of a family history of dependence upon the state.

They are looking for the easy way out. No concept of 'earning'. Just taking.

My illustrious state continues to find ways for Nanny to shove her un-gloved hand up our asses and operate us like sock puppets. It really is stunning.

First, we have the proud distinction of being the first state in the nation to actually ban trans fats. Think about that - Sacramento is telling us what kind of fat we can eat. Arnold is a small-government Republican, right? Right....

Not to be out done, Los Angeles decided that a sub-set of their citizenry is too stupid to decide where to buy their food. If you live in a portion of the city - a portion that is poor and heavily minority - the city now assumes you don't have the mental wherewithal to decide where to eat all on your own. You choices must be narrowed, unlike the rich, white people who are apparently smart enough to know where to eat.

"While limiting fast-food restaurants isn't a solution in itself, it's an important piece of the puzzle," said Mark Vallianatos, director of the Center for Food and Justice at Occidental College.

Could this be any more racist or classist or insulting? Yet you hear barely a bleat from the sheeple affected by this. [Sidebar - WTF is the Center for Food and Justice? A culinary school run by Judge Judy?]

Feeling suddenly unappreciated, the good folks in San Francisco, in their never ending quest to regulate every minute of every life in their fair city, have deemed it necessary to restrict the sale of cigarettes. Well, kind of:

City residents picking up prescriptions can forget about buying a pack of cigarettes at the drugstore checkout. The San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted 8-3 Tuesday to ban the sale of tobacco in pharmacies beginning this fall.

The measure amends San Francisco's health code to prohibit tobacco sales in any pharmacy, whether a small mom-and-pop store or a large retailer like Walgreens. Drugstores caught selling tobacco products in the city will be fined up to $1,000.

"A pharmacy should be a place you go to get better, not a place you go to get cancer," said Nathan Ballard, a spokesmen for the mayor's office.

Well, Nathan, thanks for taking away my need to think for myself. When I do want to find a place to go get cancer, at least I'll still have all of the other grocery and liquor stores. And gas stations. And corner markets. And bars. Oh, and smoke shops.

Oh wait. This isn't about my health! It's about your posturing and preening. Trying to look like you're relevant. Trying to show your liberal, bleeding heart comrades that you know what's best for everyone.

Speaking of the City of Fruits and Nuts, the Minutemen are going to be holding a protest in SF today.

The founder of the Minuteman Project says he will camp out on the steps of San Francisco's city hall to call for the resignation of Mayor Gavin Newsom over his support of a "sanctuary city" policy for illegal immigrants.

Jim Gilchrist, the Minuteman Project's founder, says he is absolutely appalled by the horrific slaughter of three San Francisco family members by an illegal alien wielding an AK-47 and boasting allegiance to the notorious MS-13 street gang. Edwin Ramos, a 21-year-old man from El Salvador, has been charged with opening fire on the three men -- a father and his two sons -- on June 22 as they sat in their car during a traffic jam.

Let's sum that one up: An illegal alien had an illegal weapon (here in CA) and was a member of an illegal gang.

Yet Newsom thinks it's hunky-dory to thwart all efforts by the Feds to round up and either deport or jail these criminals.

I'll ask again: Are you idiots still unsure why people and businesses are fleeing your city in droves? Unless you're an illegal alien, that is.

The Administration is laying the groundwork for an emergency immigration bill. With the smallest of excuses, they will come to us saying that, for our own safety, we need to pass the Comprehensive Immigration bill.

There has been wide-spread reporting on the recent "gut feeling" comments by Secretary Michael Chertoff of the Department of Homeland Security (note: did you know, that's what KGB stood for...?). What has not been so widely reported is the crap that scares me:

In the next 18 months, as the Bush administration draws to a close, Chertoff said he plans to put security tradeoff options before the American public.

Huh? Waddya mean, Mike? Why would we have to make choices?

The dire warnings and Chertoff's comments come as the Bush administration faces political and business opposition over its immigration and border policies that have security implications.

With stiff blowback on those issues, the administration has been unsuccessful in efforts to enact broader security measures -- ones opponents fear are too costly and unnecessary, and infringe on people's rights.

In a wide-ranging interview with the Tribune that lasted more than an hour, Chertoff said that the recent failure of Congress to pass an immigration bill has negative repercussions for homeland security and will lead to continued federal crackdowns on illegal immigrants.

Bad for homeland security? More crackdowns on illegal aliens? Why is that a bad thing?

If border crossings are not tightened with stricter document regulation because of economic oppositions from business interests, then Chertoff predicts possible dire consequences.

Hey Mike! Why not just enforce the laws we currently have on the books? You know, the ones that fine businesses for hiring illegals? At $10,000 per illegal hire, that will get the attention of most businesses quite quickly. There's also that pesky little document called The Constitution that requires you to protect our border.

So what are ya gonna do, Mike?

There will be security repercussions from Congress' failure to pass immigration reform. Chertoff said he hoped granting a path to citizenship to illegal immigrants would cut away "the tall grass" hiding criminal elements among undocumented workers.

Oh, I see. Because you pukes got your asses handed to you with the Amnesty Bill, you're now looking for political cover via the age-old, "It's their fault!" gambit. Are you going to use, "The Boogie Man" technique as well?

"What do you think is going to happen to your business when a guy comes across the border with a phony document and blows up a target in Buffalo or Detroit?" he asked. "Do you think the American public is then going to allow the border to remain open?"

Mike, honest to God, you need to read my blog more often. I've repeatedly given you the way to "cut the tall grass", yet you continue on your same failed path. Here. It's easy:

1. Go to your buddies at the Social Security Administration. Every year, they produce letters where the names and numbers don't match. In 2003, they produced over 900,000 of their "Do Not Match" letters.
   
2. Put this list in a database (I know you guys have some extra computers laying around). Tie the Do Not Match folks with their employer's Tax ID Number (TINs).
   
3. Sort your list, in descending order of number of multiple TIN hits.
   
4. Call the local and cable news guys. Tell them to bring cameras. Go visit the CEO's of those companies and perp-walk them out of their headquarters. Leg shackles add to the visual impact.
   
5. Repeat daily for 1 month, or until your list is exhausted.
   

Amazingly, the illegals will disappear. The business will stop hiring them, so they will have no reason to stick around the US. No more incoming illegals for the same reason. There will be a mass exodus from the country, and it won't have cost the taxpayers one thin dime. In fact, it will be a money-making venture, as you can hit the companies up for the previously mentioned $10,000 per illegal.

Your "tall grass" will have been trimmed, and you can do your fucking job. Now get to it.

I'm sick of this crap

I just sent the following letter off to the Mexica (meh-SHEE-kuh) Movement. They are a racist group calling for the return of all north American lands to, uhm, them. They're not real clear on how that would happen, or why, really. Other than people of European descent (white folk) are evil.

Go to their site, and read their crap. It's mind-numbing.

I'll get labeled as a racist by these bastard's. Yeah, that will keep me up at night. It always amazes me when a racist group - Mexica, NAACP, La Raza, etc. - can get away with calling anyone else a racist. Their entire being is based upon the supremacy of THEIR race.

Any ways, here goes. Buckle up, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.....

Wow, I found your site after reading an email from The Minutemen. You ninas need to buck up.

You listed a number of supposedly non-racist "facts" on your site about how the white Europeans have been such meanies. Here are the facts, right back at ya:

As a starter, you need to understand how the world works. Power and land are not given, they're taken. Throughout the history of the world that's how it's been, and that's how it will always be. Survival of the fittest.

Obviously, it's not restricted to whites (we just happen to be the ones that kicked YOUR asses). Read a book about the Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Spanish (are they white to you guys?), Africans, Middle Easterners. All of them, in addition to the various white Europeans. They were all conquerors at one time in our world history.

Everyone but you girls. You seem to be everyone's bitch.

Here in the Americas, it started with the Vikings, then the Italians, English, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, French. Hell EVERYONE saw you girls as an easy mark. Proud warriors.... sure.

1. White denial of how they are still a white colony on our continent. Semantics, I guess. It's not your continent any more. It was taken from you hundreds of years ago. And we're not a white colony - something you'd know if you were paying attention.

2. White denial of the savage crimes that they committed to gain everything. No denial at all, although, again, it might be semantics. They killed many of your people. Savagely, I don't know. If you step on a bug, I guess the bug thinks it was savagely killed.

3. White denial of ongoing profit from past thefts of land, and from slavery. No denial at all. They fought you, they won, and they took your stuff. Deal with it. Everyone in America (not just the whites) has the ability to profit from those acts, should they choose to do so.

4. White denial of the deformed morality that is the heart of white supremacy. I don't even know what that means. "Deformed morality". I guess if it's not the same morality as yours, it could be deemed to be deformed. And give the "white supremacy" shtick a rest, OK? Go to the state department web site and see the countries where most of our legal immigrants come from. Lots more non-whites than whites. Lots more. The American Heritage dictionary defines immoral as, "Contrary to established moral principles". As I stated above, when you were conquered, European morals and traditions were established. 11. White denial of the smallpox biological warfare that killed 95% of our people. Huh? I read about that as a kid in grammar school over 40 years ago. Who's denying what? Shit happens when you get invaded. And how is it relevant to anything?

Fan Soon To Be Hit

Yesterday, I was over at The Raging Patriot and commented on a post he had that was titled, G.W. Bush's Legacy. In it, he predicted the following:

Here’s what’s going to happen. Amnesty will be granted to the 10-20 million illegal aliens in this country whether we like it or not. Even if the Senate and House don’t manage to do it, I believe that G.W. will make sure it gets done via an Executive Order.

I agreed. I posted my own prediction as to the ultimate consequences of this amnesty program:

I’ll take your prediction even further:

Bush gives amnesty to all illegals, and leaves the door open for all who wish to enter

Wages stay perpetually low because of the influx of cheap labor; poor are not able to raise their standard of living regardless of their efforts

There finally is a tax revolt where social services/income redistribution are severely reduced; A seemingly good thing, it results in massive uprising and civil unrest. The poor, seeing no end to their plight and no opportunity to succeed, run bat-shit crazy. The nanny state model will have, once again, failed.

Martial law (Big Brother - 1984 style) or full-blown communism (Mao/Castro/Lenin style take-over) is the result. It just depends who sees it coming first. Either way, there will be major-league violence.

This is within 20 years. Lock and load, baby....

Then, today, I see an article about Barack Obama, and what he sees in our future:

Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama said Tuesday that the Bush administration has done nothing to defuse a "quiet riot" among blacks that threatens to erupt just as riots in Los Angeles did 15 years ago.

Seems like we have a bunch of shit hitting the fan in our near future. Obama knows what the cause is, though:

"Those 'quiet riots' that take place every day are born from the same place as the fires and the destruction and the police decked out in riot gear and the deaths," Obama said. "They happen when a sense of disconnect settles in and hope dissipates. Despair takes hold and young people all across this country look at the way the world is and believe that things are never going to get any better."

Actually, it sounds surprisingly similar to what I said. His solution, though, is where we part company. His solution is More Of The Same (tm). He sees more government and less self-reliance as the answer to the problem.

The first-term Illinois senator said that with black people from New Orleans and the Gulf Coast still displaced 20 months after Hurricane Katrina [ed. what about the whites, Barack?] , frustration and resentments are building explosively as they did before the 1992 riots.

"This administration was colorblind in its incompetence," Obama said at a conference of black clergy, "but the poverty and the hopelessness was there long before the hurricane."

"All the hurricane did was to pull the curtain back for all the world to see," he said.

It certainly did pull the curtain back for the world to see. To see how government largess simply does not work. How it makes people dependent upon Nanny for their very existence. How this dependence rots the very core of the recipient's will to excel.

How in God's name could these people still be displaced after nearly 2 years? It's because they're waiting around for someone, once again, to fix their problem. For someone to tell them what to do. For someone to make it all better. They're programmed to be helpless.

We are screwed, people. The Nanny State dependence of so many poor, coupled with the influx of cheap labor which keeps earnings retarded, is going to bring this country to its knees. There is going to be a class war unlike any this country has ever seen.

I really enjoy TCS Daily. It's a great site with a number of great contributors. I'm on their email list, so I get a heads-up whenever a topic that interests me is written about. I got an email today about this article, "In What Way Am I A Criminal?"

Give me strength.....

I'm going to do a Fisking of the article, more as a "personal sanity" release than anything else. And away we go......

A few weeks ago, Rosita, a Bolivian in her late 40s, told me how on her journey to the United States, she was raped in Guatemala and swindled in Mexico, and how she had to cross the desert into this country after losing a brother who was killed because he refused to pay the ``coyote'' a larger fee than had originally been agreed. She then went through a health ordeal and was forced to have a hysterectomy in a low-cost clinic that helps immigrants. The operation went horribly wrong and she spent six months fighting for her life. Her two sons are in Bolivia, where she plans to return when she saves enough money to pay her debts. She works 12 hours a day, seven days a week, cleaning houses, doing errands for third parties, and baby-sitting. ``In what way am I a criminal?'' she asked me.

Bummer. Just think: If you hadn't engaged in breaking US laws, none of that would have happened to you. YOU put yourself into a situation of dealing with bad people, and bad things happened to you. Shocking. You're too stupid to be allowed in here legally.

You are a criminal because you broke US laws. It's really that simple. No matter how compelling the story, you broke our laws, and should be punished for the act. Otherwise, a bank robber, who "just needed the money to feed my kids", would be as equally justified in breaking the law.

In a country with an unemployment rate of 4.5 percent, who can seriously maintain that immigrants take jobs away from the natives?

I can. Our unemployment rate is an indication of those in America that are actively looking for work. It does not include those that are on the public dole. The evils of the Welfare State aside, if the corporations were not able to get access to this below-market workforce, wages would rise. This would very likely bring some of these chronically unemployed back into the workforce. Even if that didn't happen, it would raise the standard of living of those that are citizens or here legally.

In a country where many of the states with the highest number of immigrants, such as New York and Florida, have unemployment rates below the national average, who can seriously accuse immigrants of displacing Americans?

I can. States with high illegal alien populations are hit even harder than other states. Here in The People's Republic of California, I have seen the construction trades get decimated by illegals. Roofers, framers, cementers, laborers - they are all heavily populated by illegals. Trades such as landscaping are dominated by illegals. These skilled tradesmen are being forced out of their trades by these illegal workers. What happened to the agricultural industry is now happening to the construction trades.

In a country where half a million immigrants come in illegally every year because the million that come in legally are not enough to match the high demand for foreign workers on the part of American businesses, who can seriously maintain that the immigration debate is mostly a debate between law-abiding Americans and law-breaking aliens?

I can. Large American businesses have a high demand for CHEAP foreign workers. Regardless of the skill level (from a day-laborer to a computer encryption genius), the influx of cheap workers harms America. And that half a million illegal aliens are virtually ALL low-skilled labor. They are taking jobs away from law-abiding poor (or artificially retarding their wages) that are here as citizens or legal aliens. I have yet to hear of a doctor sneaking across the border.

Conservatism -- and Tancredo calls himself a quintessential conservative -- has always been pro immigration.

Let's be clear: we've always been pro-LEGAL immigration. Many Republicans - not necessarily conservatives - have lost their way, and found large companies to be regular campaign contributors. I wonder why that is?

From Edmund Burke, the Anglo-Irish philosopher and politician considered the father of conservative thinking, to Ronald Reagan, who had no qualms with the word ``amnesty'' when millions of immigrants were legalized under his watch in 1986, conservatives have understood that spontaneous social interactions and institutions are what make nations healthy, prosperous and peaceful.

What? I don't know what that means. What are, "spontaneous social interactions and institutions"? It sounds like crap to me. Conservatives, by definition, do not like change - spontaneity - in their systems and institutions. And a spontaneous social interaction sounds like a quickie by a hooker in a dark alley.

It is those social customs -- and not bureaucracies detached from reality -- that make the law. For conservatives, a real legislator is someone who pays close attention to social norms and tries to adapt to them.

Are you on crack? I think you've confused liberals and, "the Constitution is a living document" crowd with conservatives. Conservatives believe in the rule of law; liberals believe in "let the laws fit the situation".

Here's the question I always ask folks from the "they're just trying to better themselves" crowd: Why should people from another country be allowed to lower the standard of living for citizens or legal aliens? Is not our responsibility first to our own, then to the world?

I get a lot of blank stares....

In One Easy Step

There has been a lot of coverage on TV and the Internet today regarding Bush's new and improved immigration strategy.

The plan would grant work visas to undocumented immigrants but require them to return home and pay hefty fines to become legal U.S. residents. They could apply for three-year work visas, dubbed "Z" visas, which would be renewable indefinitely but cost $3,500 each time.

Great idea, George. For a fee of $100 per month, you too can take an American job. I'm so glad he's looking out for the people that put him in office.

Think about how insane this is: Our government has devised a plan that will ensure the wages of our poorest, legal residents are kept low. The flood of dirt-poor, uneducated people will continue to pour into our country - depressing wages - since "No Americans will take the jobs". Proponents of this point never fail to omitt, "... at these slave wages" from the sentence. I wonder why.

At least we're making a $1,200 a year of off each of them right?

Wrong.

Not so widely publicized was the recent Heritage Foundation study that showed the give and take of a lack of education. This has nothing to do with whether you're an American, an illegal alien, or a legal resident. A lack of an education has a net cost to our society.

Overall, households headed by persons without a high school diploma (or low-skill households) received an average of $32,138 per household in direct benefits, means-tested benefits, education, and population-based ser­vices in FY 2004.

Hold on there, Mr. Smartypants, what about the taxes they pay, huh?

[T]otal federal, state, and local taxes paid by low-skill households came to $9,689 per household in 2004.

Oh. So the net cost to us tax-paying, high-school educated, law-abiding Americans is over $22,000 per year.

I wonder how many illegal aliens are high school graduates.

You know what? I'll bet that even the uneducated illegal aliens can do this math: Spend $1,200 per year, get a net of $22,000 in return.

You want a real kick to the groin?

Strikingly, as Chart 4 shows, low-skill households in FY 2004 had average earnings of $20,564 per household; thus, the average cost of government benefits and services received by these households not only exceeded the taxes paid by these households, but substan­tially exceeded the average earned income of these households.

Not only did we give them over 3 times what they contributed to the system, we GAVE them more than they earned on their own. How do you sustain that kind of system? You can't.

It's bad enough that we have to do this for our own citizens and legal residents. We're now going to offer this deal to other countries so we can take their uneducated masses off of their hands?

Hell, sign MY ass up. I am sick and tired of being the provider to the masses. I'm going to become a drain on society while there is still some money to be had. I'm going to sell all of my stuff, put it in a non-interest bearing checking account (so I don't have to pay taxes), and move to San Francisco (it's the Hilton of Homelessness).

If I ever need a break from the "grind" of hustling money from liberals, or eating at city-sponsored soup kitchens, or flopping down at one of the city-sponsored shelters, or getting free health care from a city-sponsored clinic, I can make a withdrawal of funds and take a vacation to "get away from it all".

Might not be idyllic, but it's a lot less stressful, and sure beats being a free ATM for the masses.
